Crash and burn, huh Mav

Last night I skated some short track. We did some corner drills and relays. Those double circle corners can be tricky. Anyway, while doing the relays I went out for the exchange and the speed I was going when entering the corner from the push seemed doable. I felt a little fast, but I could take it. But actually I couldn't. My weight was too far forward and the toe end of end of my blade stayed in the ice down I went. as soon as I hit I knew I had to get up fast so it wouldn't mess with my head and I didn't want to be afraid of that corner. I skated my laps and finished the relay.

When I got home my ankle was a little sore along with the inside of my thigh.

This morning my ankle is way sore and I have a nice raspberry colored rectangular mark on my inner thigh that I believe is from my extremely sharp blade. Perhaps a graze if you will.

In the words of E.T. "Ouch."
