This is the barn that we would play in. It was always full of hay. We would climb on the top and jump off. I still remember the smell of it. All the sneezing. We would get handfuls of it and feed it to the horses.

Here is a horse in the corral. My Grandpa's horse's names were: Didi, Nosekot, Kay. Then he had a pair of mini horses that would pull the wagon: Jack & Jill. We would go for rides all the time around town in the wagon with the team.

This bike was like the one that we would ride. Uncle Clyde had a 3 wheeler. He was a clown and would ride the bike in all the parades. Once in a while Aunt Bev [Uncle Clyde would always say yes] would let me and my brother and our next door neighbor cousins take out out on the town. We would fill the basket with pillows and sit on them. We would usually go to the Merc to buy water balloons or something.

This ditch was the next best thing when we couldn't get anyone to take us out to the spring. We would get out swimming gear on and pretty much just sit in it. It was used for irrigation. My Great Grandparents would irrigate their lawn every so often and call us and we would play in the ditch. The lawn would get about 4 inches of water and that made for a good slip n' slide.

My Great Grandparents died some years back. My Grandpa died a few years ago. Uncle Clyde has since passed too. Things on that side of the family just aren't the same. Who you are, with or without someone, is better if it's the same.
