Day 2

Here is the rest of the Colorado trip's doings.

Full batch of photos: Day 1 | Day 2

Thursday morning we all woke at some point only to be ready to leave the house by 8:30 to go hiking. It was good fun. Steep as all get out though! This mountain the we hiked had like 6 peaks. The second peak was the highest. We all started up the trail and got tired pretty fast. In listening to Nick, we did the caterpillar hiking style. That is where everyone spaces out about 5 feet in a line. The first guy will stop for a rest and let the whole line go by him, then he will jump on the end. When he jumps on the end, it is take for the next lead guy to rest. It's a good method. We made it to the first peak and I was done. Good to go. Totally satisfied. Nick's younger cousin Anna, was also. We all enjoyed the view and took some fun pictures. Anna and I headed back down with the others trekked on to the second, third and forth peaks. Nick took my camera.

Anna and I went back to the cabin and I crashed like a sack of potatoes. A few hours later the group arrived back at the house, then got ready to go zip line. I will say right now that is kinda freaky. If the platform was bigger and you didn't have to climb up a pole that was skinnier than you are, I would have done it. Everyone looked like they had fun. Debra, Nick's other cousin, didn't want to do it cause she was afraid of heights. She did it anyways and said that the ride wasn't worth it. So there is my justification.

After Nick had gone we headed back to the house to pack up our stuff and say our good byes, then off we were. The 8 hour drive back home was just as fun as the ride up. I was craving a hamburger so we stopped at Wendy's in Steamboat. I drove for a few hours then we switched in Roosevelt. We got home around 11:30.
