It's Sunday morning around 7AM and I am wake. I've been awake for about 45 minutes crusin the net and working on my latest ipick website design that may sink of swim. The fam is slowly rising from their beds, shuffling into the kitchen to make breakfast.
So, the going on's from yesterday were pretty eventful. Speaking of breakfast, we had a massive one. Hugh, fluffy pancakes (batter provided by Krustyz... mental note made.) with eggs and cheese garnished by a few strips of beacon was what most plates looked like. It was tasty. After stuffing ourselves full with morning's meal, a few of us went to a friend of a friend's to help load up a hot tub that my parents acquired for the price of free. Actually the heart of the situation is broken... the heating element. None the less journeying through anther's backyard fighting off tens of black widows, thorny rose bushes and tight paths we got the thing up into the back of my once called My Truck. It was funny cause after it was loaded everyone was checking out the battle wounds. Scratches, scrapes, splinters and sore muscles were among the common. We trekked back home and sat down only to enjoy 30 minutes of unwinding and the feeling of almost falling asleep. Once that time was up we ventured out yet again. This particular outing was a rewarding one. Three words: The Dark Knight.
The flick was really good. It was the most colorful a dark movie can get. By that, I think I mean the Joker. He was sporting greens, purples, reds and white in a background of blacks. His screen presence was really great. Heath - rather Keith Ledger, as my Dad would say, did so good. He character was just weird. The movie wasn't gory and it would leave you knowing what happened without showing you the "guts" of it. 2Face had quiet the screen presence as well. The amazement of that and the kid we were sitting by that almost choked to death left us with a pretty feelingful few hours. The show was about three house, so word to the wise - get your liquids rotated early.
Upon returning home again once more it was time to heat the coals for some dutch oven eats. A few strips of chicken, spoonful of taters and a roll left us all in agony for an hour. It was very filling. Moaning and groaning while sitting around the table just looking at each other to full to speak even was the picture we had painted. The non-English silence was broken when the phrase "Lets play a game" was muttered. Grabbing the underneath lip of the table pulling ourselves up we played Beyond Balderdash. Haha that was good and I won. The way in which I won, I like to thank my wit. Everyone kept guessing what I wrote, racking up my points. Works for me!
Well the time has come. I must go enjoy a slice of banana bread prepared by one of the best banana bread makers I know, then pack up my suitcase, shower, unload the hot tub (wish it were that easy), run to the bro's house to check it and finally off to the airport to catch a ride back to Salt Lake City.
