The Great Salt Lake... yet again!

Today around 2 in the afternoon I accompanied Nick and his Mom (in town from Ohio) on an extension of her tour around the Salt Lake Valley. Today's destination was The Great Salt Lake.

Driving out on the causeway the water was very still. The horizon would sometimes disappear.

Upon visiting the Visitor's Center this guy is there to great you:

Here is a view of the 7 mile causeway. So many colors!

Here's FYI:

There are so many sunflowers all over the island & valley.

Patterns are very eye catching!

On to another pattern. I was taking this photo and this guy watched me take it, then asked, "What are you taking a picture of?" I told him that I liked the pattern of the bleeding nails. He thanked me for answering his question.

There is a small gift shop and eat place at the Buffalo mountain hill and here is the menu. They actually make buffalo burgers. I'll pass!

Here is Nick and his Mom having a rest atop Buffalo hill mountain. It was very quiet up there.

This little sunflower stood out a bit.

Nick wanted to lay down.

This looks cool upside down.

So that was pretty much the afternoon. We next went to Cold Stone for some great goodness.
