Weekend Update

I took about 542 photos at the Park City practice yesterday morning, so going through through those is taking more time than I expected. I am uploading them to my Picasa Albums, so check out the the first 100 there!

In other news, today is Monday. The weekend was really grand! On Saturday we just sat around the house in the morning. I did some computing. Nick played his nintendo game things. Oh! a few weeks ago I bought a food dehydrator. I finally got to use it! I dried some bananas, tomatoes and corn. It took about 5 hours, but it worked! I love dried corn! The tomatoes were kinda gross and I don't like bananas at all, (unless it's Nick's banana bread) so Nick is going to eat them!

At 3PM Saturday, Nick wanted to go on a bike ride. He asked if I wanted to go and since I don't own a bike... he said that I cold ride his. (He has a mountain bike and a road bike.) We got all geared up and hit the Legacy Parkway bike path. It is so nice! I was on his size large mountain bike (I generally fit a small) and he on the road bike and we were just crusin. It was nice scenery and surprisingly not noisy. There were lots of people out. As they would pass by quick Hellos were exchanged. People are nice when they are out and about moving themselves through the outdoors. We ended up riding for an hour and a half, going just over 10 miles. Our average speed was around 12mph reaching 24mph when Nick was chasing me. I had not been on a real bike in years! It was great! If I had a bike that fit me I cold have gone a lot longer. My built in seat is really sore. So fun!

Since Winter is coming up fast and nice weekends are limited, we got to fix the front yard flower beds yesterday. We still have flowers blooming that we planted in the Spring, so I didn't want those dug up just yet. A while back we got a bunch of bulbs that have been waiting to be planted. Tulips and some yellow flowers, purple ones, and fun pink ones and a few others... Got those taken care of!

Nick trimming the giant thorny rose bush... see the holes, I have to put the bulbs in.

This is the island garden. Nick did all this. The flowers are still blooming.

I think this is the only green tree left! Everyone's trees are brown or bare.

It was a fun weekend! I am heading into work for two days this week then taking off for Ohio with Nick on Wednesday around 10AM. He has some races and we are going to visit his family. I am so excited. I love going on trips.
