I heard on the radio that Kate Voegele was coming to town. (Kate is a singer/songwriter and plays Mia on one of my favorite shows, One Tree Hill.) I called Nick and told him, because I learned a while back that his friend was in her band. So, Nick called his friend. Sure enough she was coming, he was coming, it was their first night of this tour.
Friday night we got to the concert and was on the guest list, walked right in and Nick's friend, Mark met up with us and took us to the bus during the opening act. We met Kate's band, tour manager and some of the roadies. We chatted for a bit on the bus after getting shown around.
It was pretty cool to see all the behind the scenes that goes on. Everyone has little walkie-talkie radios (psh-over) and is running all over the place. We learned that bus was previously occupied by Lily Allen when she was on tour just barely.
It was nice to meet Mark and the band. Kate's concert was great.
