So, short story of true success. I never saved while growing up or anything like that. Many months ago I said that I wanted to have enough for a bike, then the same amount extra so that I wouldn't clean out my bank account. Lately I have just been focusing on increasing the amount of money I have in savings and just spending less in general: controlling the urge.

I went to buy my bike today and I knew I had enough and that was all that mattered. When I was on my way home I got to thinking and I have more still left in my bank account than what my bike cost, left over!

Bottom line: Set a date.
