So getting on the ice tonight I felt weird. A good weird. This sport; among others, I'm sure, is so mental. One day you can be having a great practice, then you slip up once and that feeling is gone. Well back to my today... I was taking the corners faster than what is normal for me. It's time now, more than ever, to get lower and get that lean. Gravity kept pulling me out, but i know its cause I wasn't lower. My speed was psyching me out. I would come out of one corner and think, crap, I'm going faster than the last corner. It was then that I would be coming out of the corner and taking my last crossover and I would toe scrape or set my blade down all dumb and that would throw me off. So I feel like I got what it takes, I just need to put it all together. Like Anthony said, gotta get through the pain. That is hard to think about when you are taking your second in the corners and just thinking about bring that right leg around for another crossover is like dragging cement blocks with every stroke. Sometimes it just won't go. Just gotta get stronger.

Just for fun.
Tonight I got word that Jon was coming to short track, and that is always a great photo graphing opportunity. Tonight I took a record low of 35 pictures. Here are 2 that I had some fun with.
